Serve alongside a global team bringing healthcare and the hope of Christ to communities in need.
CERT mission trips are built around collaborative teams where medical professionals, students, and support volunteers work together to meet physical needs and create meaningful opportunities to share the Gospel.
Every role matters and every volunteer helps make the mission possible!
How CERT Teams Work Together
Each clinic is designed to care for the whole person. Patients move through several stations where volunteers serve according to their training and skills
Together, the team provides:
- Compassionate medical and dental care
- Essential medications and treatments
- Health education and preventative care
- Opportunities to share the love and message of Jesus
By meeting practical needs first, CERT teams open doors for ministry, prayer, and Gospel conversations. Every volunteer, whether medical, student, or support, plays a vital role.
Medical & Dental Volunteers
Physicians, advanced practice providers, healthcare professionals, dentists, and hygienists form the clinical core of our outreach teams.
Medical volunteers diagnose and treat patients in general practice clinics, focusing on overall health, treatment, and patient education. Patients are first triaged with basic medical history and chief complaints before meeting with providers for evaluation and care.
Dental volunteers address one of the most urgent needs in developing communities. Many patients have never seen a dentist, so services often focus on tooth extractions, infection relief, and oral health care.
CERT teams travel with a fully stocked pharmacy, and all medical and dental professionals receive a list of available medications before the trip.
Medical and dental volunteers work closely with students and support volunteers to provide efficient, compassionate care for every patient.
Student Volunteers
CERT welcomes current and aspiring medical or dental students who want to gain real-world experience while serving internationally.
Students work under the supervision of licensed professionals and may assist with:
- Patient intake and triage
- Clinical support and patient care
- Learning from experienced medical providers
- Observing global healthcare delivery
For many students, these trips become life-changing moments that shape their future careers and calling in healthcare and missions.
CERT also offers limited Student Scholarships to help offset trip costs for enrolled students in medical, dental, or related fields.
Support Volunteers
You don’t need a medical background to serve on a CERT team.
Our clinics depend on volunteers who help with the many logistical and ministry needs that make each outreach possible.
Support volunteers may assist with:
- Patient registration and clinic flow
- Pharmacy and eyeglass distribution
- Logistics and supply organization
- Prayer and ministry to patients
- Supporting medical and dental providers
These roles are essential in helping the clinic run smoothly and ensuring every patient feels seen, cared for, and loved.
